Stones
Raw stones suitable for the Wet grinders are available in and around Coimbatore. These stones are brought to the city and machined to the required shapes by specialized suppliers. Over a period this process is semi-mechanized and machines such as lathe are used to get high level of accuracy.

Drum

Food grade stainless steel is being used for making the drums. It is sourced from reputed companies such as SAIL, etc. It is finished to a high degree of accuracy and polish. Special suppliers are available who have specialized in this field and they make only drums.

Motors
Motors are being manufactured in coimbatore for decades. In fact the first electric motor in India was produced at Coimbatore. Hence there are humpty numbers of people making motors to the requirement of the various capacity of grinders.

Armset manufacturers
The suppliers have improved the quality at low cost. The electroplating units have developed a niche market for themselves in this industry. Their quality so high that no other city is able to match theirs. The arm sets are produced from MS and electroplated.

Cabinet

Various types of materials is used in the making of a cabinet such as stainless steel sheets, laminated plywood, etc. This gives a good look for the grinder as well as low maintenance.

Stamping sheets for the making of rotor and motor are sourced from Mumbai and Delhi. They are also sourced form the SAIL plant at Salem, Jindal, CSP etc.
