The Coimbatore Wet Grinders and Accessories Manufacturers Association, better known as COWMA was formed as early as 1995, to take up matters of common interest and solve common problems. The industry had seen notable innovations in the product, thereby heralding necessitating an opportunity to bring the manufacturers together.

The association currently has over 500 members and has formulated an action plan through which it plans to help create better opportunities for its members. COWMA also represents the industry’s grievances and requests to the government and also offers guidance with regard to Sales Tax and Central Excise issues.

COWMA forms an active part of the cluster of wet grinder and accessories manufacturers and is working towards better and enhanced growth. Together with the cluster, COWMA is currently developing many specialised component suppliers, so as to optimise costs and to enhance quality for the manufacturers. The association is going too far lengths to ensure that the cluster development of the wet grinder market, is one that is efficient, quality oriented and also one that provides ample growth in the national and international markets.
